Job summary

iSanqa is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to contribute to frontend and backend tasks across rotations in Midrand, Menlyn, Rosslyn and Home Office. The role targets candidates with 2–4 years of related experience and a foundation in IT, agile practices, and modern web tech.

Essential skills include Typescript, Node.js, OpenAPI, Angular 5+, HTML5, CSS/SCSS and REST. Familiarity with AWS services (S3, CloudWatch, Fargate) and DevOps tools is a plus.

Qualifications

Degree in IT or 3 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Frontend: rapidly experiment with multiple solutions.
Implement reusable HTML and JS logic.
Polish frontend behaviour for a great user experience.
Ensure code is readable, extendable and scalable; handover-ready.
Develop system solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements.
Document technical work per ISO standards.
Coordinate with IT Project Manager and users on solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

ROLE:
Projects: Frontend:
Rapidly experiment with multiple solutions
Implement re-usable HTML and JS logic
Ensure all code is readable, extendable and scalable
Ensure that all implementations can be passed over to other developers, mid development, with minimum of handover.
Polish frontend behaviour to ensure a great user experience.
Ensure that the small unseen details of a client-side application is of exceptional quality.
Ensure that all processes have been investigated / considered in obtaining the specifications of the user requirements
Review and present proposed system solution to IT Project Manager / Leader and User
Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements
Ensure that the following steps in the Development Cycle are executed:
Preparation of system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards)
System testing/parallel runs
System implementation
System audits/quality assurance
Back-end skills:

Transition:
Review and present proposed system solution to IT PO.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong ability to understand and interpret Business needs and requirements with the ability to move concepts through to proposal and finally successful implementation.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with both technical and non-technical.
