An Internal Vacancy exists for a NOC Manager (Vodacom) in the Critical Infrastructure Division based in Centurion.
The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Render a comprehensive pro-active security service and overall management of the Control Room
- Liaise with clients, regional clients, and handle all internal and external security queries
- Ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Sustain growth and profitability
- Increase and sustain the performance and productivity of all staff, sub-contractors, and subdivisions
- Planning and management
- Deliver effective team management
- Financial management
- Personnel management
- Carry out dynamic security and safety risk assessments
- Communicate effectively with the control room team and liaise with operational management teams within the project
- Maintain effective relationships with client staff, management, contractors, and service providers
- Provide reports and recommend process improvements
- Act as a focal point for security operations decision-making during routine and emergency situations
- Adhere to compliance standards and relevant laws
- Align and liaise with all security service providers
- Ensure responsible site allocations are kept up to date, including polygons and site lists
- Proactively liaise with the OCC NOC and assist with interactions
- Have security technical ability and background
- Ensure compliance with the company’s disciplinary code and SOPs
- Ensure training is conducted as required
- Willing to work after hours, long hours, and travel nationally
- Perform any other duties relevant to the role
Preferred qualifications / attributes / skills :
- PSRA Grade A certification
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ operational management experience/exposure
- Good Labour Relations skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Bilingual in English and another South African language
- Good interpersonal and customer relations skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Willing to work extensive hours, after hours, and standby
- Clean disciplinary, criminal, and credit record
- Code 08 driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Experience in implementing Quality Management Standards
- Ability to manage and deliver projects, draft and implement policies, and influence stakeholders
- Experience with control room systems
- Analytical and quality-focused, capable of producing accurate management information
- Excellent presentation and IT skills
- Target and KPI-focused, capable of maintaining employee engagement
