Job Description

The focus of this position is to manage escalations handed over to the individual. The individual will also be required to manage the infrastructure proactively. Part of the job is to provide recommendations on improving environment availability and managing capacity growth. They will occasionally be involved in architectural designs and mentorship roles for junior engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

• CCNP, CCIP, CCDP
• Studying towards a CCIE
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT networking with in-depth knowledge
• Understanding of MPLS, QoS, TCP/IP
• LAN knowledge: Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet
• WAN knowledge: Protocols & architectures
• VPNs & MPLS (and management thereof)
• Cisco knowledge
• SDWAN knowledge preferable
• Comprehensive understanding of telecommunication and networks
• Network Management Experience
• Must have experience in at least two of the following: Cisco Cloud and Management Platforms, Network Automation, Opmanager (preferably)

Technical Skills

• Network protocols, troubleshooting, monitoring tools, incident management, server administration, scripting, virtualization, routing, and switching
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration and escalation of complex issues
