Job summary

Bigen Africa in Western Cape seeks an Operational Manager Nursing Grade 1 for night duty. You will lead night shift nursing operations, coordinate patient care and manage resources to maintain high standards of service.

Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse is required, with at least 7 years’ general nursing experience and willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays. A practical competency test will be part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse is required.
• Minimum 7 years' nursing experience after registration in General Nursing.
• Willingness to work shifts, including night duty, weekends and public holidays.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use information systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and coordinate patient care and HR on night duty in Brewelskloof hospital.
• Provide strategic leadership to realize organizational goals through policy implementation.
• Submit accurate midnight reports and handover activities on night shift.
• Quality assurance through auditing records, ward rounds and incident management.
• Coordinate in-service training and utilize information systems to improve care.
