Job summary

Mediclinic is seeking a leadership figure for our nursing management team to oversee the hospital during Night Shifts, ensuring safe patient care and a positive patient experience by coordinating clinical and non-clinical resources at night.

The role requires a B degree or diploma in nursing with 5+ years of clinical experience as a Professional Nurse and 2-3 years of unit-level management experience (SPN/UM).

Qualifications

• Essential nursing degree or diploma (B degree/diploma in nursing).
• Desirable management/leadership qualification.

Responsibilities

• Continuously deliver a quality service to patients in accordance with patient safety standards.
• Achieve the clinical quality standards according to policies and procedures.
• Ensure the optimal utilisation and competence of staff whose behaviour reflects the organisation’s core values.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Please note that this is a leadership role within our nursing management team where you need to lead and manage the our hospital during Night Shifts.

To ensure continuous safe patient care and a positive patient experience by coordinating clinical and non-clinical resources and services at night.

Required Education

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: B degree or diploma in nursing

DESIRED EDUCATION: Relevant Management and leadership qualification

Required Experience

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 yrs clinical experience as a Professional Nurse

DESIRED EXPERIENCE 2 to 3 yrs management experience at the unit level (SPN/UM)
