Job Summary :
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automotive sales management, strong leadership skills, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, manage and motivate the new vehicle sales team to achieve monthly sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives.
- Maintain optimal vehicle stock levels and ensure proper display and presentation.
- Drive profitability through strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data, market trends, and competitor activity.
- Recruit, train, and develop high-performing sales consultants.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Work closely with the F&I, marketing, and service departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Ensure full compliance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards and internal dealership policies.
Minimum Requirements :
- Matric certificate (Grade 12); further business or sales training is advantageous.
- Minimum 35 years of experience as a New Vehicle Sales Manager or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience with dealer management systems (e.g., Kerridge, Autoline, etc.) is preferred.
