Sydsen Recruit is hiring a New Vehicle Sales Manager to join a prestige dealership in the East Rand of Gauteng

New Vehicle Sales Manager

Location : East Rand, Gauteng, South Africa

Industry : Automotive – Dealership

Reports To : Dealer Principal

Job Summary :

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automotive sales management, strong leadership skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, manage and motivate the new vehicle sales team to achieve monthly sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain optimal vehicle stock levels and ensure proper display and presentation.
  • Drive profitability through strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing sales consultants.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Work closely with the F&I, marketing, and service departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Ensure full compliance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards and internal dealership policies.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Matric certificate (Grade 12); further business or sales training is advantageous.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a New Vehicle Sales Manager or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience with dealer management systems (e.g., Kerridge, Autoline, etc.) is preferred.
