Job summary

The Talent Room (Recruitment Solutions South Africa) seeks an experienced New Vehicle Sales Manager in Gauteng to lead the New Vehicle Sales Department and drive monthly and annual targets.

You will manage a high-volume operation (~100–120 units per month), coach a team of Vehicle Sales Executives, and ensure profitability, pricing, and customer satisfaction in line with dealer standards.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is required.
• Valid Driver’s Licence.
• Prior experience as a New Vehicle Sales Manager in a motor dealership.
• Proven track record of managing a high-volume operation (100–120 units/month).
• Strong knowledge of dealership sales processes and vehicle finance.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a sales team.
• Understanding of vehicle gross profit, targets and performance.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong administrative and reporting abilities.
• Only candidates meeting minimum requirements will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the New Vehicle Sales Department.
• Drive the achievement of monthly and annual vehicle sales targets.
• Manage a sales volume of approximately 100–120 units per month.
• Lead, motivate, coach and develop a team of Vehicle Sales Executives.
• Monitor individual and departmental sales performance.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximise vehicle sales and profitability.
• Ensure effective lead management and follow-up processes.
• Monitor stock levels, vehicle ageing and model mix.
• Ensure vehicles are correctly presented, priced and marketed.
• Monitor gross profit and departmental profitability.
• Manage customer relationships and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards and relevant legislation.
