Introduction

A leading company in the Butchery / Meat Industry, based outside Pretoria, is seeking an experienced New Product Development Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will manage and innovate multiple new product development projects from initial concept to launch, ensuring products comply with relevant legislation and customer specifications. They will also develop and facilitate an inclusive procedure across departments to enable on-time launches within various product groups.

Responsibilities

1. Manage, identify, research, and develop new product initiatives aligned with the Company Group Strategy.
2. Maintain relationship management with customers, ensuring consistent communication regarding new product development, feedback, and follow-up.
3. Coordinate with all relevant group departments to ensure effective communication of requirements and actions needed for ROI and timely launches.
4. Research, develop, and implement integrated product packaging and labelling strategies to meet customer requirements.
5. Oversee multiple development projects from concept to launch.
6. Compile food labelling information according to legislation and customer specifications.
7. Monitor launched products to ensure quality standards are maintained.

SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality)

• Ensure all staff maintain acceptable personal hygiene at all times.
• Manage correct use of PPE at all times.
• Maintain process and product hygiene standards consistently.
• Perform all duties in accordance with the Company’s Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma in Food Technology (Required)
• Degree in Consumer Science or equivalent (Preferred)
• 2–4 years of relevant technical and managerial experience

Package & Remuneration

R 35,000 – R 50,000 CTC per month.
