Job summary

Our client, a leading QSR, is seeking an Executive Chef to lead New Product Development projects, conceptualising, developing and commercialising innovative on-brand products across brands.

The role requires a culinary degree, 8 years of experience with at least 3 years in a senior/executive chef position, strong NPD and menu engineering skills, HACCP knowledge, and the ability to operate in a high-pressure, fast-paced franchise kitchen.

Qualifications

• 8 years professional culinary experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or executive chef role.
• Experience in New Product Development within a QSR or multi-unit hospitality environment.
• Experience in food costing, yield analysis and menu engineering.
• Ability to scale recipes and develop SOPs for high-volume franchise kitchens.
• Working knowledge of South African food safety legislation and HACCP principles.
• Driver's license and own vehicle.
• Able to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced work environment.

• A Culinary (Degree/ Diploma) from a recognised institution e.g. South African Chefs Association, accredited school or equivalent
• 8 years of professional culinary experience with at least 3 years in a senior or executive chef role is essential
• Demonstrated experience in New Product Development within a QSR or multi-unit hospitality environment
• Experienced in food costing, yield analysis and menu engineering
• Proven ability to scale recipes and develop SOP’s, for high volume franchise kitchen environments
