PURPOSE STATEMENT:
To grow the Leading Brands footprint by leveraging successful franchisee and Landlord relationships, extending the Brand to where South African consumers of all markets live, work, shop, and play.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Apply a systematic approach to role execution.
- Find innovative ways to secure sites in non-traditional areas to expand new formats in a changing landscape.
- Analyze the changing consumer climate to drive an increase in footprint.
- Assist Franchisees and the region in relocating targeted restaurants using location-based information and gap analysis tools.
- Support Franchisees and the region with rental negotiations and reductions.
- Complete rental benchmarking and comparison modules across all brands and formats.
- Conduct site assessments using the approved GIS system, evaluating viability based on proximity, competitor analysis, demographics, and location performance.
- Prepare and present individual brand trading format proposals, including market segmentation, setup costs, and financial models.
- Act as a liaison between Landlords, Developers, and the New Business Department across all brands.
- Update and compile reports for site assessments as needed.
- Establish rollout schedules promptly and proactively address bottlenecks in restaurant development processes.
- Hold regular status update meetings, ensuring actions are tracked and completed.
- Coordinate GIS development and maintenance, integrating internal and external data for business intelligence.
- Develop and implement ongoing GIS processes.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Suitable tertiary qualification, preferably BCom Business or BSC in Property Science.
- Mandatory experience in large retail and commercial real estate.
- Experience with landlords and renewals is advantageous.
- Experience reporting to an Executive and understanding of their demands.
- Proven negotiation skills and adaptability to changing consumer landscapes.
