Job description

Reporting to the New Business Development Executive

The main purpose of this role is to seek new business through networks, forge and sustain good relations with clients as well as retaining new and existing business.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years’ experience in sales in a similar position.
  2. Sales diploma or equivalent qualifications.
  3. Must be professional and well presented at all times.
  4. Capable to work under pressure and for extended hours, if required.
  5. Full competence in the use and application of the Ms Office suite programs (Ms Excel).
  6. Must be prepared to travel.
  7. Must have own reliable transport.
  8. Must have Cash Management Solutions experience.
  9. Device sales experience preferred.
  10. Previous experience in the security industry would be a distinct advantage.

Key Performance Areas: (Not totally inclusive)

  1. Accountability for growth of an area and proactively increasing turnover.
  2. Securing profitable new business through cold calling and other appropriate means.
  3. Attending to potential clients in different areas of responsibility.
  4. Addressing and resolving client’s queries promptly and satisfactorily.
  5. Physically conducting site surveys for security requirements and preparing proposals.
  6. Ensuring that quotations are submitted timeously to clients.
  7. Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients.
  8. Planning, budgeting, co-ordinating and attending client’s needs.
  9. Assisting with marketing related issues for the area.
  10. Compiling and submitting weekly and monthly management reports.
