Job description

SUMMARY :

A leading provider in the HVAC industry, specializing in designing and delivering HVAC solutions for commercial clients offering the opportunity for a remote or in office based role.

POSITION INFO : RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source and evaluate tenders, including evaluation with respect to risk and opportunity.
  • Assist in preparing estimates for projects, including cost plans, resolution of discrepancies.
  • Analyse project drawings, specifications and related documents to accurately prepare material, labour and equipment cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and negotiate pricing.
  • Prepare tender documents, budgets, contracts, BOQ’s and all related documentation.
  • Update and maintain database of material, labour and subcontractor pricing.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and provide continuous cost tracking and report accordingly.
  • Attend to site visits project meetings to gather insights and understanding of the project requirements.
  • Work with project teams to ensure the timely completion of estimates, proposals and O&M manuals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 years’ experience in Cost Estimates, Cost Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Diploma or Degree preferable, but candidates with proven experience will be considered.
  • Strong research, analytical and numerical skills, with high level attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, methods, and systems is required
  • Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management, organisational and prioritizing skills.
