Job description

Our client is looking for a New Business Development Executive to join their team in KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will drive the expansion of their Parking Division by identifying new opportunities, building strategic relationships, and delivering tailored parking solutions to clients. The role involves national travel, technical collaboration, and active involvement in the full sales cycle from lead generation to project handover.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with parking operators, property developers, and municipalities.

  • Analyze market trends to develop a qualified project pipeline.

  • Engage prospects through meetings, presentations, and industry events.

  • Customize proposals and manage tenders and quotations.

  • Negotiate and close deals to secure new projects.

  • Collaborate with technical teams on solution development and project planning.

  • Represent the brand at exhibitions and events while gathering competitor insights.

  • Maintain CRM systems and report regularly on progress and market intelligence.

  • Meet and exceed sales and revenue growth targets.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business development or technical sales within the parking, infrastructure, or related industries.

  • Solid understanding of parking technologies and customer needs.

  • Strong network and relationship-building skills, particularly with municipalities and developers.

  • Ability to manage full sales cycles including proposal and tender development.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar; technical certifications advantageous.

  • Willingness to travel nationally (50–70% of the time).

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Self-driven, goal-oriented, and fluent in English (additional languages beneficial).
