Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent,
- 4-5 years experience in a new business focused position
- Degree in sales or marketing preferable
- Sales concepts training (SPIN, GAP, and consultative selling processes)
- Experience in sales or customer-facing/engagement roles, with a proven track record of achieving monthly new business targets
- Preferably experience in the courier industry and e-commerce markets
- Knowledge of business principles (financial, operational, customer experience)
- Driver's license with own reliable transport
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Obtain new business via cold calling, tenders, proposals, and sales presentations to meet/exceed sales targets
- Strategic account planning, opportunity creation, and qualification
- Adhere to the company's product strategy when acquiring new business
- Engage with executives and stakeholders, designing value propositions
- Utilize marketing data to maximize sales effectively and efficiently
- Optimize standard operating procedures (SOP) to achieve sales targets
- Present financially viable "Return on Investment" products/feedback to potential clients
- Manage customer expectations and interactions professionally to enhance customer service levels
- Develop and maintain customer accounts to achieve goals/budgets/targets
- Exceed monthly new business sales targets
- Sell the company's services within targeted sectors across South Africa, uncover niche markets, and suggest new products
- Secure the entire account to maximize potential share of wallet
- Negotiate customer rates in line with company objectives
