  • Later, support will include paid weekend support (work from home on weekends) with incoming support tickets only (not usual weekday work while on support at home).

Description

  • Develop, manage, and maintain a high-quality network infrastructure, including daily operations and network solutions.
  • Ensure WAN and Linux servers are operational.
  • Provide support for WAN, routers, firewalls, security systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
  • Maintain and improve strategies to protect against threats such as viruses, hackers, and spam.
  • Assist with implementing new systems, troubleshooting, and repairing network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain equipment like routers and servers.
  • Monitor performance and take necessary actions.
  • Perform 2nd line support as required.
  • Keep infrastructure software and firmware up to date.
  • Conduct network assessments and security audits.
  • Participate in remote monitoring and management system administration.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot VoIP technologies.
  • Document all computer systems and network infrastructure.
  • Communicate incident progress and outages to internal staff.
  • Transfer knowledge to support staff.

Profile

  • Matric or technical certification.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
