• Must have own transport. Be available to work after hours when required (not often).
• Later on, do paid weekend support (work from home on weekends) and handle incoming support tickets (not usual weekday work while on support at home).

Well-established ISP is recruiting a Network System Administrator with 2 to 3 years of experience.

Description

1. Develop, manage, and maintain a high-quality network infrastructure, including daily operations and network solutions.
2. Ensure that Wide Area Networks and Linux Servers are operational.
3. Provide support for WAN, routers, firewalls, security systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
4. Maintain and improve strategies to protect internal users from outside threats such as viruses, hackers, and spam.
5. Assist with implementing new systems, troubleshooting, and repairing network issues.
6. Install, configure, and maintain equipment like routers and servers.
7. Monitor performance statistics and take appropriate actions.
8. Perform 2nd line support as required.
9. Keep all infrastructure software and firmware up to date.
10. Conduct network assessments and security audits.
11. Participate in the administration and maintenance of remote monitoring and management systems.
12. Deploy and troubleshoot VoIP technologies.
13. Document all computer systems and network infrastructure.
14. Communicate incident progress and outages to internal staff.
15. Transfer knowledge to support staff.
