Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day operational administration of network infrastructure, including but not limited to:
• Routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure
• Network and patch rooms and areas (all client sites)
• Internet access
• Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure and services
• Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure and services
• DMZ, firewall, VPN, APN, and proxy infrastructure and services
• Fixed infrastructure (fiber and Ethernet cabling)
• Ensure system performance and service level agreements (SLAs) are achieved
• Effective monitoring of related infrastructure (Network Operations Centre (NOC) outsourced)
• Work with third-party service providers to ensure efficient operations
• Handle user and network-related calls daily
• Effective documentation of areas of responsibility
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Create and maintain architectural drawings for all installations
• Create and maintain logical diagrams for all client-related installations within the area of responsibility
• Develop and maintain SOPs within the area of responsibility
• Manage small network projects within the area of responsibility

Requirements:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• 3 to 5 years in an operational role with a strong background in Cisco administration and equipment
• 3 to 5 years of network infrastructure experience
• 3 to 5 years of network operations management experience
• 3 to 5 years of vendor management experience
• 3 to 5 years of understanding of firewall integration into network services
• In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing, including routing protocols with an emphasis on OSPF
