Job description

Introduction

We are looking for a Cisco Certified Network Professional to work in Cape Town for a contract role.

The role of the CCNP Specialist includes, but is not limited to:

1. Performing basic designing, installing, and troubleshooting of Cisco voice and unified communications applications, devices, and networks.
2. Performing network security tasks, including setting up and monitoring secure voice system networks and enforcing access control policies.
3. Managing access points, IP telephony, PBX, and other hardware setups.
4. Managing and expanding the Cisco unified platform, such as CUCM and UCCX.
5. Setting up and configuring Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points.
6. Supporting VoIP services.
7. Designing advanced/expert network solutions.
8. Integrating hardware/software configurations or telephone systems for maximum flexibility.
9. Implementing advanced solutions as required.
10. Providing operational support and problem resolution.
11. Performing advanced troubleshooting.
12. Auditing user activity to ensure database integrity and performance.
13. Establishing standards, policies, and procedures for database administration.
14. Defining and implementing data alerts.
15. Conducting end-to-end testing for optimal performance.
16. Performing health checks and generating verification reports.
17. Performing backup checks and generating verification reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• CISCO OEM Certified as CCNP with Voice, Switching, and Security experience
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team
• Self-managed, ethical, and honest
• Respectful and relationship-oriented
• Relevant telecommunications skills and experience
• Capability to lead IT technologies

Package & Remuneration: Market-related salary per hour.
