What you will be doing:

1. Manage / maintain the global network infrastructure daily to ensure optimal uptime, security, and performance.
2. Coordinate and oversee 24/7 third-party network support providers to guarantee high-quality service delivery.
3. Quickly diagnose and resolve complex network issues to minimize downtime.
4. Continuously improve network security to maintain security posture.
5. Maintain up-to-date documentation and inventories for all network systems.
6. Monitor network performance, resolve issues, and implement best practices.
7. Evaluate new vendors and technologies, and recommend and implement improvements.
8. Lead and manage network-related projects from start to finish, minimizing business disruption.
9. Perform hands-on tasks like installing and configuring network hardware, software, and services as needed.
10. Collaborate with the Technology and Innovation team and the wider business to provide support for complex issues and project initiatives.

1. A relevant tertiary degree would be beneficial.
2. Cisco, HP, Meraki, Azure networking, etc. related certifications.
3. 5+ years' experience in network administration and architecture.
4. Experience with network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
5. Strong multi-site networking experience (SD-WAN, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP).
6. Experience managing physical, cloud-based, VoIP, and wireless networks.
7. Understanding of technical and data security concepts.
8. Financial services industry experience is preferred.
9. Broad understanding of IT fundamentals.
10. Intelligent and effective troubleshooting skills, with the ability to engage additional support when needed.
11. Strong organisational, prioritisation, and delegation skills.
12. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and present solutions.
13. Personable with good communication skills.
14. Willingness to work out of hours when necessary.
