Datacentrix is looking for an experienced Network Manager to ensure the highest levels of infrastructure availability, reliability, and resilience, while driving the rapid and effective resolution of network incidents. The role will oversee a team supporting a range of networking technologies, including Aruba, HP, Cisco, and Huawei.
The Network Manager will be responsible for managing, leading, and guiding a technical team of Network Engineers, ensuring that contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently met and that high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained.

Qualifications & Experience Required
- Matric & IT Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications.
- 8–10 years’ experience in network infrastructure and management.
- Proven experience in managing and maintaining a network infrastructure environment, preferably within a large and complex enterprise environment.
- Proven experience in managing, leading and guiding a team of Network Engineers.
- Experience managing and supporting a large-scale network environment with 50+ WAN links.
- Strong technical experience across Aruba, HP, Cisco, and Huawei networking technologies.
- Proven experience in network design, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, capacity planning and infrastructure management.
- Experience managing ISP services and internet connectivity.
- Experience working with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, documentation and reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain customer network and wireless solutions in accordance with established standards and best practices.
- Manage and maintain network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches and other network devices.
- Ensure reliable and resilient network connectivity across the customer environment.
- Manage and administer network equipment, hardware and software upgrades.
- Perform network design, capacity planning and infrastructure optimisation.
- Research network products, services, protocols and industry standards to support network procurement and development.
- Perform network backups and recovery activities to ensure business continuity.
- Monitor and test network performance and provide regular network performance statistics and reports.
- Lead, manage, and provide technical guidance and support to the Network Engineering team.
- Manage ISP services and internet connectivity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network-related incidents and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain accurate technical and network documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, standards and service requirements.
- Escalate unresolved incidents to the appropriate technical teams or stakeholders within agreed escalation procedures and timelines.
- Compile and provide monthly service statistics, including call volumes, services rendered, corrective actions, failure trends and related service information.
- Liaise and collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure seamless integration, effective support and timely resolution of technical issues.
