Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to join a globally distributed, fully remote team. You'll design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure to support all operations, ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance across cloud and on-prem environments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in enterprise network design, expertise in BGP/OSPF, SD-WAN, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in network engineering with enterprise design and management.
• Proficiency in routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), switching, and network security.
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and SD-WAN.
• Certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or CISSP are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and remote-work collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure across data centers and cloud environments.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Ensure network security with protocols, IDS, and access controls.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage complex network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs across multiple data centers and cloud environments.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining security protocols, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Provide Tier 3 support for network-related incidents and collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
• Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance network capabilities and reduce operational costs.

Requirements
