Certifications : CCNP Data Centre or Cisco Certified ACI specialist (CCIE advantageous)

Core Description

Responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and ongoing maintenance and support of customer network infrastructure.

Guide customers on migrating to Next Generation Technologies.

Deploys pre-defined products and customer-specific solutions to meet business and strategic objectives.

Applies expertise, such as automation.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

• Function as a subject matter expert on network technology, providing high-level support, formulating solutions, assisting with the implementation of quality/productivity systems, and compiling/distributing reports.
• Compile technical service descriptions and detailed, accurate costs of implementing technical inputs for the specification and development of network products and services.
• Conduct business analysis and business continuity planning to ensure network stability and growth.
• Engage in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to technical product development by advising on industry best practices.
• Manage projects and network integration within areas of expertise, including compilation, execution, monitoring, and completion.
• Monitor emerging technologies and provide insights and advice.
• Design systems within areas of expertise.
• Conduct service delivery planning and control.

Skills and Experience

• Expertise in network switching and routing functions, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of Data Centre switching trends and technology changes.
• Knowledge of Cisco ACI networks and NX-OS platform is required.
• Ability to perform IOS upgrades.
• Produce multi-level network designs and policies.
• Evaluate and optimize network performance.
• Basic understanding of network security and firewalls (advantageous).
