Job description

We are seeking a Linux Network Administrator to secure and maintain our client’s organization's computer systems and network, Benoni

Objective:
The successful candidate will provide a reliable, secure, and efficient data communications network.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and setting up network infrastructure.
  • Maintaining high availability network infrastructure.
  • Conducting research on latest networking practices.
  • Executing general administrative functions.
  • Undertaking extraneous-to-IT activities.

Key Tasks Include:
  • Implementing and maintaining LAN and WAN.
  • Configuring IP addresses and network capacity.
  • Installing and integrating new server hardware and applications.
  • Researching and resolving network performance issues.
  • Defining network policies and procedures.
  • Resolving software and hardware configuration issues.

Qualifications:
  • BSc degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • A+ and N+ Certificates, Linux LPIC-1.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, ACSA, Fortigate).
  • MCSE, MCIPT.
  • Proven experience in a network administrator role.
  • Practical experience with wireless networks, VMWare, and in Network security.
  • Working knowledge of Windows server 2019-2016, hyper v, Linux Server, Microsoft Systems.
