Job description

We have a 12 month fixed term contract (with the possibility of becoming permanent) available for an experienced Network Administrator in CBD.

POSITION INFO :

Minimum Requirements :

• Grade 12
• A+, N+ and Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCNT)
• 2 years + systems admin experience
• Experience with Active Directory, VM Ware, LAN, WAN
• Hands on experience with Cisco Routing, Sophos Firewalls, and Switches.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Manage and support the organization's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, MPLS links, and internet access
• Guarantee consistent uptime and optimal performance of all network systems. (
• Resolve network problems efficiently and effectively.
• Analyze network performance, plan for future capacity needs, and improve overall network efficiency.
• Deploy and maintain network security protocols and systems.
• Install, upgrade, and configure network hardware (routers, switches), including backups.
• Oversee network devices, such as routers, switches, and Sophos firewalls.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network setups, security policies, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to network disaster recovery and backup planning.
• Provide network support to end-users and the IT team.
