Job summary

The Recruitment Pig is seeking a skilled CNC programmer for a high-tech metal fabrication environment. You will create and optimize sheet metal cutting programs, prepare tooling sheets, and ensure smooth machine operation.

You will work with Amada AP100 and VPSS, read engineering drawings, process CAD files, and apply smart nesting to minimize scrap while collaborating with shop floor staff to keep production on track.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Hands-on programming experience with Amada laser, turret punch, and combo CNC machines.
• Ability to optimize sheet metal cutting using CAD/CAM data.
• Familiarity with DXF/DWG/STEP CAD formats and file preparation.
• Strong attention to detail under tight production schedules.

What You Need to Apply

• Proven experience programming Amada laser, turret punch, and combination CNC machines.
• Solid hands‑on proficiency using Amada AP100 and VPSS software programs.
• Good practical understanding of sheet metal fabrication, bend allowances, and grain directions.
• Familiarity with thick turret tooling, forming tools, and standard punch setups.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work with CAD files accurately.
