Job Purpose

To assist with the implementation of the business investment philosophy through data analysis, research, and support functions in line with Nedbank Group strategy, through the Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking (NCIB) Young Analyst Programme.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assess needs and provide solutions by interacting with internal and external clients.
  2. Provide feedback and make business presentations to stakeholders.
  3. Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
  4. Compile, maintain, and monitor economic, industry, and other data series through research.
  5. Make investment recommendations using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  6. Identify and interpret relevant information using logic to seek cause and effect relationships.
  7. Contribute to a culture conducive to achieving transformation goals by participating in Nedbank culture-building initiatives.
  8. Support corporate social responsibility initiatives aligned with key business strategies.
  9. Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and policies, supporting their implementation.
  10. Evaluate the performance of funds/investments through regular financial reviews.
  11. Develop software proficiency to deliver required outputs.
  12. Express ideas or facts clearly in written documentation.
  13. Develop sound product and industry knowledge and understand the regulatory framework.
  14. Stay informed of legislation and industry changes impacting the role.
  15. Align with the Nedbank vision and demonstrate core values in interactions.
  16. Enhance personal capability through training and feedback.
  17. Ensure personal growth by completing learning activities, gaining experience, and maintaining certifications.

Minimum Experience Level

Postgraduate; 0-2 years working experience.

Essential Qualification

Completed postgraduate or currently registered in the final year of a 4-year degree.

Postgraduate degree (Honours or Masters) with majors in:
