Job summary

Herotel Business is seeking an experienced National Sales Executive to lead a team and drive sales performance in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include implementing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and improving customer relationships. Job description

Herotel Business is looking for an experienced National Sales Executive tolead a team of Key Account Managers, driving sales performance, and achieving revenue growth through business development. You will work closely with channel partners, supporting the team with complex deals, and ensuring sales targets are met. The National Sales Executive plays a critical role in developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to expand market presence and enhance customer relationships.

Location: Stellenbosch or Pretoria.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership
    - Implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and market share growth.
    - Identify opportunities for channel expansion and establish key partnerships.
    - Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales strategies with business objectives.
    - Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to refine sales approaches.
  • Channel Business Development
    - Drive growth in channel sales by developing strong relationships with key partners.
    - Assess potential channel partners for strategic alignment and onboarding.
    - Ensure seamless integration of new partners into the sales ecosystem, including contract negotiation and process alignment.
    - Work with internal stakeholders to refine product offerings and pricing strategies to optimize channel success
  • Sales Team Management & Performance
    - Lead, mentor, and manage the Key Account Managers to achieve individual and team sales targets.
    - Provide guidance and support in handling complex sales negotiations and high-value deals.
    - Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where needed to ensure target achievement.
    - Develop and execute sales training programs to enhance team capabilities.
  • Customer & Deal Support
    - Assist in structuring and closing high-value, complex deals.
    - Ensure exceptional customer experience by addressing escalations and resolving critical issues.
    - Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams to develop tailored solutions for key customers.
    - Represent the company in high-level negotiations and client engagements
  • Reporting & Analytics
    - Develop and maintain sales reports and performance dashboards to track progress.
    - Provide regular updates to leadership on sales performance, pipeline status, and market developments.
    - Use data-driven insights to refine sales strategies and drive continuous improvement.

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of sales management experience, preferably in a channel or B2B sales environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong experience in business development, strategic planning, and account management.
  • Experience in the telecommunications, IT, or technology sectors is preferred.
  • Ability to manage complex negotiations and high-value sales deals.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skill.
  • Ability to travel nationally as required.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
  • Additional certifications in sales management or leadership will be an advantage.
