Key Tasks & Accountabilities
- Report to the CEO of Bryte Specialist Motor (BSM).
- Establish sales targets aligned with the company strategy and adjust market plans as needed.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, processes, and procedures.
- Manage growth and pipeline development, maintaining profitability with industry expertise.
- Prepare sales forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Manage, coach, and develop Portfolio Managers to foster a high-performance culture.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to negotiate insurance needs.
- Drive business solutions and product development ideas.
- Coordinate with Marketing and Product Development to ensure brand consistency.
- Apply Underwriting Rating Guidelines consistently.
- Oversee onboarding audits for new propositions and authorize new Broker Agencies.
- Research new market opportunities and clients.
- Support and motivate the Sales team.
- Manage the client database and recognize top performers.
Stakeholder Management
- MD’s office, Executive team, Communication and Events teams, Business heads, Reserving committee, External Partners, Agents, Administrators, UMAs, and Networks.
Leadership Accountabilities
- Model behaviors aligned with Bryte’s principles.
- Lead a high-performing team and conduct performance reviews.
- Create a people management plan for capability development.
- Encourage personal development.
- Lead by example and set performance standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Higher Certificate in Insurance; Fellowship preferred.
- RE 5 (RE 1 advantageous).
- At least 8 years in Commercial Underwriting and Portfolio Management.
- 3-4 years of management experience.
- Technical knowledge of Motor and Commercial Products, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
