Job description

Job Objectives : Our client in the automotive industry is seeking a National Parts Manager for the Car Brands. The role involves working closely with the Aftersales and Parts team to ensure the effective daily operation of the Aftersales Parts department.

The candidate will be a key member of the Car Brands team, responsible for delivering key outputs efficiently. Success in this role requires managing all car parts to ensure timely delivery to dealers and maintaining the parts warehouse stock according to operational requirements.

The candidate's focus will be on vehicle parts, ensuring dealers are supported effectively and efficiently. Ultimately, the role aims to meet and exceed business expectations and contribute to the company's long-term success.

Responsibilities :

  1. Forecast parts needs and order to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  2. Set goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
  3. Process purchase orders, including ordering parts from factories and ensuring quick delivery to dealers.
  4. Source and secure high-quality OEM accessories at reasonable costs.
  5. Trace shipping of orders and assist field service personnel as needed.
  6. Meet monthly sales targets.
  7. Ensure maximum first pick and first fill rates.
  8. Maintain dealer accounts and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  9. Hire, train, motivate, and monitor department staff performance.
  10. Prepare and manage the annual operating budget.
  11. Establish pricing parameters to generate satisfactory profit margins while maintaining customer loyalty.
  12. Set and balance inventory levels for maximum turnover and minimal obsolescence.
  13. Perform inventory controls and quality standards audits.
  14. Supervise stock ordering procedures and enforce policies.
  15. Analyze sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to meet profit goals.
  16. Provide high-quality service to both external and internal customers.
  17. Attend management meetings and conduct weekly department meetings.
  18. Optimize departmental operations and storage layout for efficiency.
  19. Oversee shipping and receiving to ensure timely processing.
  20. Develop sales promotions and campaigns.
  21. Handle customer complaints promptly following brand guidelines.
  22. Ensure proper accounting of all dealership purchases.
  23. Maintain professional appearance and provide monthly reports on sales, profits, losses, stock levels, procurement, and accessories.
  24. Understand import/export procedures and perform competitor pricing analysis to maximize gross profit margins.
  25. Conduct dealer performance analysis monthly.
  26. Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Requirements :

  1. Matric certificate.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in a related field (advantageous).
  3. 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  4. OEM experience (advantageous).
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  8. Ability to work under pressure.
