Job Description:

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing Operations Strategy, plans, cycles, and campaigns that align with the overall Group and Brands strategies.
  2. Preparing and managing annual turnover and operating budgets.
  3. Leading the recruitment and selection of franchise partners.
  4. Driving the management and growth of corporate stores to meet turnover and profitability goals.
  5. Managing Quality Assurance projects, audits, and performance standards control through the regional team.
  6. Enhancing the company's operating capabilities to exceed guest and franchisee satisfaction and retention.
  7. Handling all changes in franchise partners, new store rollouts, and closures.
  8. Supporting rental negotiations with landlords and franchise partners.
  9. Ensuring the achievement of national operational standards ratings.
  10. Implementing national, regional, and local marketing programs.
  11. Developing and implementing financial benchmarks for franchisee best operating practices.
  12. Managing and reporting on customer queries and expectations through the customer service department.
  13. Introducing strategic and tactical initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction with the Sorbet brand.
  14. Manage, host and co-ordinate and attend regional and national franchisee meetings.
  15. Plays a key role with regards to new product, technology, store development and revamp design interventions.
  16. Works closely with the New Business to drive growth and development of the stores and expansion into SADC.
  17. Responsible for implementation of all IT enhancement projects with Franchise Partners.
  18. Identifying and implementing the ongoing training and development of all citizens and Franchise Partners.
  19. Managing and maintaining strong relationships with the key strategic partners that support operational processes.
  20. Manage store revamp/upgrade programme in line with contractual arrangements with Franchise Partners.
  21. Develop and implement key management reports and store reports to achieve the financial objectives.
  22. Develop the strategic plan of the Group.

Experience and Education

  1. Must be in possession of a suitable tertiary qualification preferably a bachelor’s degree.
  2. Must have a minimum of 5-7 years previous management experience as well as experience in the leadership of a large and diverse team within the Retail and Beauty or Food Service industry.
  3. Strong track record of success in the franchising industry and management of corporate stores.
  4. Strong track record of successfully delivering growth and profitability for brands.
  5. Strong track record of building relationships and stakeholder engagement across departments.
  6. Sales orientation and management of budgets.
