Purpose:
As the Operations Manager, your primary objective is to oversee and manage all operational aspects of current Burnt retail stores, new store builds, HQ and Warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
New Store Openings and Renovations:
- Lead the planning and execution of new store openings, ensuring timely and successful launches.
- Manage store renovation projects, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to uphold brand standards and minimise disruptions.
- Scrutinise all supplier/builder invoices for discrepancies and negotiate better rates.
Systems Optimisation:
- Implement and refine operational systems, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Utilise retail management software to streamline operations and support data-driven decision-making.
- Manage all devices and technology in stores, head office and warehouse. List includes but limited to: Sound, POS, screens, CCTV, security scanners, card machines, software, access codes, internet and connectivity, VOIP, alarms etc.
Team Training:
- Train the National Retail Manager, Regional Managers and Store Managers, and support staff on all operational systems.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain open and effective communication with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external partners.
- Collaborate with National Retail Manager and Regional Managers to align operational strategies with sales and marketing initiatives.
Risk Management and Problem-Solving:
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, proactively addressing challenges to ensure business continuity.
- Develop and implement solutions to enhance store performance and customer experience.
Financial Management:
- Manage store budgets and expenses within allocated limits, optimising resource allocation to maximise profitability.
Skills:
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing large scale retail operations.
- Strong knowledge of retail systems and technology.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in retail management software and data analytics tools.
- Strong skills in retail store fit out and new builds.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in retail operations management, preferably in a multi-store environment.
