Quantum Foods Nova Feeds Division is seeking a National Manager Operations to lead four feed manufacturing facilities in Malmesbury, Paterson, Pretoria and George. The role focuses on operational excellence, profitability and supplier management, with responsibility for safety, quality and service levels.

You're expected to coach Senior Operations Managers, drive continuous improvement, optimise plant performance, and manage capex and budgets across the network. Travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• 3-year tertiary qualification in Engineering, Operations Management, Agriculture or related field.
• 8–12 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in feed or related industries.
• Proven experience in managing multi-site operations.
• Willingness to travel between operational sites.

Quantum Foods is a diversified feeds, poultry and egg business providing quality animal protein to selected South African and African markets.Quantum Foods has an exciting opportunity at its Nova Feeds Division with the following vacancy: National Manager Operations, Based in Malmesbury, Western Cape | Paterson Grade D2The primary purpose of this role is to lead and oversee the operations of four feed manufacturing facilities, located in Malmesbury, Paterson, Pretoria and George. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence & efficiencies (incl. continuous improvement initiatives), ensuring optimal feed production and supply, managing costs and profitability, maintaining feed quality standards, and leading a team of Operations Managers across the business.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• A member of Senior Management responsible for driving and executing strategic imperatives.
• Leading, coaching, and managing a team of Operational Managers.
• Managing the overall efficiency and performance of all feed plant operations.
• Ensuring compliance with feed quality standards and specifications.
• Ensuring optimal feed supply to meet customer requirements.
• Maintaining service levels while optimising plant machinery and equipment performance.
• Managing input suppliers and service level agreements.
• Managing operational & distribution costs, budgets, and profitability across the four facilities.
• Overseeing stock management of all raw materials, finished products and packaging.
• Approving and managing capital budgets and projects.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency and operational performance.
• Ensuring legal compliance including: health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

• Minimum 3-year tertiary qualification in Engineering, Operations Management, Agriculture, or related fields.
• 8-12 years’ expereince within manufacturing environment, preferably in feed or related industries.
• Proven experience in managing multi-site operations.
• Willingness to travel between operational sites.
