Well established food manufacturing (FMCG) company requires a Key Accounts Manager : Industrial to develop the Bulk / Industrial vegetable oil segment for the company through a thorough understanding of technical requirements of new and established customers.
POSITION INFO : Requirements :
Business Management diploma or BCom Degree recommended
Min 3 years’ relevant experience in the management of key-accounts
Sales experience with flour, sugar, oil, grains, meat, dairy industrial / food manufacturing, coupled with commodities, essential
Computer literacy andd accounting packages
P&L calculations and business finance
Duties include :
Achieving Sales Targets
Ensure a continuous and comprehensive understanding of market conditions, trading in those conditions and strategizing ability to adapt to the market conditions
Achieve sales budget, including export sales
Establish new relationships and develop business opportunities.
Negotiate terms and closing sales with authorized parameters.
Identify and track new and lost opportunities
Reporting
Develop quarterly selling plans in line with company strategy and goals
Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly reporting on sales figures and activities
Manage draft SO’s, BA agreements, MRP and inventory stock on store level and with internal stakeholders
Reporting of any quality matters
Gather market and customer information and provide feedback
Log client activities on CRM platform
Continuous analysis and reporting of competitor activities

Maintain and manage relationships
Timely communication and feedback to customers
Continuous strategic planning
Technical : Products
Up to date understanding and knowledge of commodity markets, factors influencing market movements and technical properties pertaining to different products its application as well as the industrial market
Compilation of weekly market movement reports

Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks
