The National Key Account Manager is a senior account manager responsible for managing a portfolio of customers within the RBZA business. The individual must have entrepreneurial traits and be a self-starter to enable them to deliver on sales, volume, and profitability targets. The National Key Account Manager needs to be able to devise a medium to long-term vision, based on a thorough understanding of customers, trends, and opportunities with attention to detail. The person needs to feel comfortable taking calculated risks, identifying and exploiting opportunities to achieve business advantages. Sharing best practices with colleagues and customers to enable RedBull to gain a competitive advantage is essential. A creative, analytical, and challenging personality, oriented towards action, who can build strong strategic customer relationships and collaborate within the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage the implementation of RedBull's commercial strategy at key customers. Develop mid to long-term customer strategies aligned with the national sales policy, focusing on innovation and long-term sales drivers. Implement price strategies according to company mandates and establish customer pricing. Deliver promotional plans that drive share and category growth, protect channel profitability, and align with the national grid.
- Analyze data sources (e.g., Nielsen, scanner, customer data) to identify customer growth opportunities. Continuously plan sales forecasts and prepare trade spend budgets to meet profitability targets. Develop plans for annual business and effective promotions. Create compelling selling decks and position RedBull as the category leader.
- Lead yearly negotiations with key customers, understanding what is required to win in the category. Agree on RedBull's Perfect Store concept, VIP programs, Profit Zone, and other category solutions. Manage in-trade partners for merchandising and execution within your portfolio.
- Track and adjust volume and profitability targets using sales reports. Prepare and review the success of executed plans, showing RedBull's contribution to the customer's business. Use insights and data to manage in-store execution and distribution effectively.
- Research customer needs continuously and respond with mutually beneficial programs aligned with brand equity. Develop effective partnerships to position RedBull as a key supplier and driver of profitable growth. Strive for category captaincy with strategic retailers within the energy category. Build strong cross-functional relationships within the company and develop joint customer strategies.
- Forecast base volume considering promotional activities and execution, using PET to understand off-take and promotional uplift. Use volume forecasts for demand planning, pack mix, and profitability optimization.
- Manage budgets, including investments and optimizing spending buckets.
- Require 2-5 years of professional experience as a National Key Account Manager; experience with PNP & Boxer is advantageous.
- Cross-functional experience in Trade Marketing, Consumer Marketing, or Field Sales is a plus.
- Maintain an excellent network of contacts and trade relationships.
- Develop strategic, innovative, and commercially focused strategies, with the ability to see the bigger picture.
- Strong commercial acumen, understanding sales processes, financial systems, and working with SAP/BI for planning and tracking sales results.
- Analytical skills, strong planning, negotiation skills, and understanding of financial implications of sales and marketing decisions. Ability to analyze data and develop high-value initiatives.
- Successful negotiation experience and problem-solving skills in retail negotiations.
- Proven success in implementing a national price increase.
- Excellent presentation skills to communicate strategies and processes clearly and convincingly.
- Willingness to travel 50-60%.
