Job description

Our client is a national NGO, distributing food throughout SA, alleviating hunger whilst reducing the environmental impact of food loss and waste by recovering food from various farmers, retailers, and manufacturers to feed thousands of people in vulnerable communities.
They are seeking a National Fundraiser for a permanent role based in Cape Town, Western Cape.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Degree or Diploma with proven fundraising capability
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Driver’s license and willing to travel
• 5+ years’ experience in fundraising and donor relationship management
• Experience with presentations and public speaking
• An equity candidate is ideally sought

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Achieve fundraising target and conduct research to identify potential donors
• Seek donation and reduce operational expenses
• Complete / compile grant applications
• Assist with development strategy and donor stewardship plan
• Assist with promotions, events, and campaigns
• Provide story leads for marketing purposes

Salary: Market related dependent on experience
