The role focuses on safety, nutrition, early literacy, numeracy, and creative expression, with transport duties as needed. A genuine love for children, excellent references, and SA work eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Nanny or Early Childhood Educator.
• Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Development or a related field are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transport are advantageous.
• Excellent references from previous childcare roles.
• First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive daily care for two children (ages 3 and 5).
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities (early literacy, numeracy, creativity).
• Engage children in outdoor play and ensure safety.
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
• Keep play areas and bedrooms clean and organized.
• Transport children to/from school, activities and appointments as needed.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding progress and concerns.
• Foster a supportive, stimulating learning environment and encourage independence.
• Handle minor emergencies with composure and administer basic first aid.
