Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a reliable nanny/child development facilitator for a live-out, full-time role in Port Elizabeth. You will care for two children (ages 2 and 5), support daily routines, and create engaging educational activities at home.

Ideal candidates have formal childcare experience, knowledge of early development, and First Aid/CPR certification. A clean criminal record and references are required.

Qualifications

• Proven nanny/childcare experience, with toddler/preschool focus.
• Knowledge of child development stages and early childhood care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, reliability, and nurturing personality.
• Ability to plan and execute engaging activities.
• First Aid and CPR certification are mandatory.
• Clean criminal record check.
• References from previous employers.
• Passion for early childhood education and development.
• Must reside within or near Port Elizabeth.

Responsibilities

• Provide childcare ensuring safety, health, and well-being.
• Plan age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and feeding routines.
• Maintain daily routines including naps and hygiene.
• Tidy play areas and keep spaces clean for children.
• Engage children in play, storytelling, and arts.
• accompany children on outings to parks and playgrounds.
• Communicate progress and concerns to parents.
• Create a nurturing environment that encourages learning.
