Ideal candidates have formal childcare experience, knowledge of early development, and First Aid/CPR certification. A clean criminal record and references are required.

About the Role

Our client, a warm and dynamic family residing in Port Elizabeth , is seeking a reliable and experienced Nanny and Child Development Facilitator. This is a live-out, full-time position focused on providing exceptional care and engaging educational experiences for their two young children (ages 2 and 5). You will be responsible for their daily well-being, including feeding, hygiene, safety, and fostering their development through stimulating activities. The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, and knowledgeable about early childhood development, possessing the ability to create a nurturing and educational environment within the family home. You will play a significant role in the children's daily routines, encouraging their curiosity, social skills, and overall growth. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage daily activities, plan engaging outings and indoor play, and ensure a structured yet fun atmosphere for the children. Your dedication and expertise will be highly valued by the family.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive childcare, ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of the children at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, both indoors and outdoors.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding routines.
• Maintain children's daily routines, including nap times and personal hygiene.
• Tidy children's play areas and maintain general cleanliness related to the children's activities.
• Engage children in constructive play, storytelling, and creative arts to foster development.
• Accompany children on outings to parks, playgrounds, and other age-appropriate activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
• Create a stimulating and nurturing environment that encourages learning and exploration.
• Ensure children’s adherence to safety rules and best practices.

Requirements
