Placements24 is partnering with a busy, supportive family in Soweto, Gauteng, to find a dedicated Nanny and Educational Assistant for their three children aged 3, 6, and 9. This role suits someone passionate about childcare and learning, who can become a trusted part of the household.

You will manage daily routines, create engaging educational activities, help with homework, ensure safety at home and on the go, and transport children to school and activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a nanny or childminder with multiple children.
• Experience supporting children's education and homework is desirable.
• Patient, nurturing, and reliable with good communication.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care for three children (ages 3, 6, 9), managing daily routines.

About the Role

Our client, a busy and supportive family based in Soweto, Gauteng , is seeking a dedicated and energetic Nanny and Educational Assistant for their three young children, aged 3, 6, and 9. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about childcare and possesses a strong aptitude for supporting children's learning and development. The Nanny will be responsible for managing the children's daily routines, providing engaging educational activities, assisting with homework, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The family is looking for someone proactive, organized, and compassionate who can become a valued part of their household in Soweto . The hybrid nature of this role allows for some flexibility while maintaining consistent care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and loving care for three children (ages 3, 6, 9), managing daily routines including meals, naps, and playtime.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities to stimulate learning and creativity.
• Assist older children with homework and school projects.
• Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times, both inside and outside the home.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children, including their rooms and play areas.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
• Communicate regularly with parents about the children's day, progress, and any concerns.
• Transport children to and from school and extracurricular activities as needed.
• Act as a positive role model for the children.

Requirements

• Previous professional experience as a Nanny or Childminder is essential, with experience caring for multiple children.
• Experience supporting children's education and homework is highly desirable.
• A genuine love for children and a patient, nurturing disposition.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transport.
• Must be legally able to work in South Africa.
• Must reside in or near Soweto, Gauteng , or be comfortable with the hybrid work arrangement.
