Job Description
  1. Analyze existing product BOMs for price correctness in line with actual expenditure incurred.
  2. Maintain BOMs to ensure price accuracy amidst constant price increases, thereby maintaining profit margin per product.
  3. Investigate, record, and analyze stock returns or remanufacture due to incorrect supply of orders or incorrect ordering, including the associated costs and reasoning, and communicate findings to the factory.
  4. Implement effective stock control procedures to ensure stock costs are accurate and correctly reflected in stock valuation, managing an inventory of R 25m.
  5. Assist with adjusting sales prices in accordance with actual costs, group pricing strategies, and targeted GP% per product line.
  6. Support ad-hoc supplier cost investigations and give guidance to procurement on potential cost savings from local and international supply chain options.
  7. Contribute to various costing projects to evaluate the viability of future product manufacturing.
  8. Assist with stock counts and end-of-month valuation.
