Job summary

Fraser Alexander is seeking an on-site Heavy Equipment Operator to operate Dozer, Excavator, Grader and FEL across trenches and roads, ensuring safe and efficient earthworks and maintenance. You will perform pre-shift checks, maintain a clean machine and work area, and follow site SOPs to manage spillages, pipe connections and deposition wall construction as required.

Job description

To assist operations where Dozer, Excavator, Grader, FEL are required to make the operating environment safer and more convenient by excavating trenches, cleaning spillages, connecting pipes, and construction of deposition wall and maintenance of access roads.

Responsibilities

Production Requirements

• Operation of Dozer, Excavator, Grader, FEL to either load , dig , clean trenches or ditch slimes dam and maintenance of access.
• Adhere to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the specific machine at all times.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards on the machine and surrounding work area.
• General inspections of the machine before and after the shift and complete inspection checklist.
• Comply with all safety rules and site regulations at all times.

Equipment

• Complete pre-shift inspection of the machine at the beginning of every shift and report all faults and problems to the Supervisor.
• Inspect the equipment (machine) and the working area.

Operator Maintenance

• Operate and maintain equipment as per OEM operator manual specifications.
• Check condition of the machine.
• Always ensure cleanliness of machine.
• Ensure lubrication as per OEM specifications.
• Maintain fuel levels in the machine
• Assist maintenance personnel with tasks when required.
