Job Description
MiWay is looking for a creative multimedia graphic designer who can design and translate creative concepts into required traditional design and multimedia design elements.
Minimum Qualification Required
- Diploma or formal qualification in Graphic or Multimedia design.
- Three-year tertiary qualification in graphic/multimedia design (or similar).
Minimum Experience
- At least three years’ experience, ideally with an advertising or interactive agency or in-house digital team.
- Adobe Creative Cloud: at least 3 years of experience.
What we need you to do, including, but not limited to:
- Interpret briefs to conceptualise graphic and layout solutions.
- Contribute ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
- Involvement in and contribution to the creative process, brainstorming, and briefing sessions.
- Manage design projects from conception to delivery.
- Digital design, understanding of saving for web legacy.
- Clear understanding of dimensions sizes for social media creative executions.
- Design original pieces, including illustrations, infographics, GIF animations.
- Creation of GDN banners using Google Web Designer.
- Creation of Rich Media banners.
- Edit images, fonts and layouts, using graphic design software.
- Apply typography techniques.
- Maintain brand consistency and CI throughout all marketing projects.
- Design print-ready marketing material including creatives for online, social media, promotional items, branding, banners and any other material as required.
- Assist with ad-hoc marketing team projects as required.
What We Need You To Bring
- Computer literate; in InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier Pro, and Photoshop at an advanced level.
- Ability to execute basic video editing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including the creation of templates as well as PowerPoint presentations.
- Excellent design skills and an eye for detail.
- Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of the latest design trends.
- Basic understanding of HTML5 and CSS.
- Creative design – you must be able to interpret briefs and come up with creative concepts for both digital and print platforms.
- Ability to design all internal communication requirements and have strong skills in infographic designs.
- Proven track record of successful campaigns executed and show a creative flair on briefs.
- A portfolio is required.
