Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is seeking an experienced Area Coach on behalf of our client based in Plattekloof. The role focuses on coaching Restaurant General Managers across multiple sites, driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.

You will spend most of your time in stores, leading leadership teams, implementing company standards, analysing KPIs and financials, and planning talent development to build a high-performance area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level business qualification or higher.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in the QSR industry.
• Proven multi-site operational leadership experience.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Ability to travel extensively between restaurants.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Exceptional leadership and coaching ability.
• Customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Strong analytical ability.
• Ability to influence and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop Restaurant General Managers and management teams.
• Drive succession planning and talent development.
• Conduct performance reviews and IDPs.
• Build a high-performance culture.
• Manage employee relations matters.
• Ensure Health & Safety and Food Safety standards compliance.
• Lead regular area management meetings.
• Coach stores to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Conduct customer visits and operational reviews.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores.
• Analyse Guest Experience Survey results.
• Improve service speed, accuracy and cleanliness.
• Implement continuous operational improvements.
• Drive area sales performance.
• Develop local marketing initiatives.
• Monitor competitor activity.
• Coach teams to maximise sales opportunities.
• Drive recognition and incentive programmes.
• Maximise profitability through labour and food cost control.
• Review financial performance (P&L) and KPIs.
• Prepare business reviews and Balanced Scorecard presentations.
• Monitor financial audits and implement corrective actions.
