Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MuleSoft Developer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in API development and system integration. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform to enable digital transformation and seamless data flow across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust APIs and integration services using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Create and maintain RAML specifications, API proxies, and reusable connectors.
• Implement secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs that comply with ABSA’s security and governance standards.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration flows in Mule Runtime.
• Work closely with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline integration and environment management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a MuleSoft Developer.
• Strong knowledge of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange, and DataWeave.
• Hands-on experience in API-led connectivity architecture.
• Proficient in RAML, JSON, XML, XSLT, and HTTP/REST protocols.
• Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns and SOA principles.
• Experience integrating with systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, or core banking systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
• Experience in deploying and managing APIs in CloudHub and On-Premise environments.
• Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, SAML, SSL, and API security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 or 2.
• Experience in the financial services industry, especially banking or fintech.
• Familiarity with Kafka, AWS/Azure, or other middleware tools is a plus.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
