Job description

Mthashana TVET College, in collaboration with the Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality, and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA), invites applications from qualified and unemployed South African graduates for the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2025.

About the WIL Programme

The WIL Programme is a structured initiative designed to provide workplace experience to graduates who have completed their N6 qualifications or NCV Level 4 in Tourism Management or Hospitality Management. The programme is fully funded by CATHSSETA and aims to help learners bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application—an essential step toward obtaining their national diplomas and improving employability.

1. Tourism Management: In-Service Training (30 Posts)
  • Eligibility: N6 Certificate in Tourism Management
  • Duration: 18 months
  • Placement: Tourism companies, visitor centres, and related workplaces
2. Hospitality Management: In-Service Training (20 Posts)
  • Eligibility: N6 Certificate in Hospitality Management
  • Duration: 18 months
  • Placement: Hotels, restaurants, and hospitality venues
  • Focus Areas: Hotel operations, front desk, food & beverage, guest relations
3. NCV Level 4: Work Exposure (Tourism and Hospitality)
  • Eligibility: NCV Level 4 graduates in Tourism or Hospitality
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Purpose: Entry-level work exposure for career readiness and further learning
