Job description

Responsibilities:
  1. Operate conventional milling machines, grinding machines, and lathes.
  2. Perform mould repairs and maintenance according to quality system requirements.
  3. Ensure moulded parts meet specifications, including drawings and cosmetic standards.
  4. Follow safety protocols and ensure all safety devices in the mould room are operational.
  5. Shutdown and lock out equipment if safety devices are defective, and inform the supervisor.
  6. Carry out preventative maintenance as per schedules and procedures.
  7. Report potential machine problems to reduce breakdowns.
  8. Record spares usage during maintenance for cost control and planning.
  9. Collaborate with production staff and process technicians to optimize machine performance.
  10. Assist and educate on proper handling of machines and equipment.
  11. Maintain quality standards and ensure their adherence.
  12. Repair mould breakdowns promptly without compromising safety or craftsmanship.
  13. Participate in refurbishing, upgrading, or installing new or secondhand moulds and machinery.
  14. Innovate and suggest methods to increase production efficiency and reduce costs.
  15. Communicate effectively regarding workload progress.
Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a technical field, preferably in injection, stretch, or blow moulding.
  • Qualified Toolmaker trade preferred.
  • Proficient in English, with good communication skills; local language skills required.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
