Job summary

On Line Personnel in PE/Gqeberha is seeking a skilled Motorbike Technician to service, diagnose and repair motorcycles to factory specifications.

You will perform scheduled servicing, fault-finding with diagnostic tools, and ensure roadworthy condition before delivery, with focus on mechanical, electrical and electronic systems. A Matric / Grade 12 and a QCTO licence plus at least 2 years post-trade experience are required; computer literacy and a valid driver’s licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 required.
• Qualified Motorcycle Technician (QCTO) required.
• Minimum 2 years' post-trade experience.
• Proven hands-on servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing motorcycles.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Good understanding of motorcycle systems, components and workshop procedures.
• Computer literate.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing and routine maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Conduct thorough inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Carry out fault-finding using appropriate diagnostic equipment and technical information.
• Ensure all motorcycles are roadworthy, safe and mechanically sound before being released.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections and quality-control checks.
• Fit and replace motorcycle components, accessories and related equipment.
• Accurately record work completed, parts used and additional repairs required.
• Communicate any additional technical requirements or faults identified during servicing.
