Job summary

A leading insurance company in KwaZulu-Natal seeks a Motor Assessor to fairly and accurately assess motor claims. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in motor assessing and must be qualified in the Motor Body Repair Trade. Responsibilities include assessing damages, updating clients, and negotiating with service providers. This position requires strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in motor assessing.
  • Qualified panel beaters / motor mechanics will be given preference.
  • Solid understanding of the claim’s philosophy and the application thereof.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing vehicles to determine the extent of damages.
  • Performing investigations and verifying the description of the event against the loss.
  • Updating clients on the status of repairs to their vehicles.
  • Negotiating with clients, intermediaries, and service providers.

  • To determine the quantum and merit of segmented motor claims in a fair, reasonable and accurate assessment.
  • Responsibilities :
