Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will advise on a broad range of property transactions, draft and negotiate sale and lease agreements, and oversee conveyancing and sectional title matters.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years post-qualification in commercial property, strong negotiation and client-management skills, and is based in Mossel Bay or willing to relocate to the coastal town.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of SA High Court with conveyancing qualification.
• Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in commercial property law.
• Proven expertise in drafting/negotiating property contracts and leases.
• In-depth knowledge of SA property law, Deeds Registries Act, and sectional titles.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial property sale and purchase agreements.
• Handle commercial lease agreements and advise on terms.
• Provide advice on sectional title schemes and developments.
• Manage property development projects from a legal perspective.
• Advise on property financing, due diligence, and risk assessment.
• Oversee conveyancing and bond registrations.
• Ensure compliance with property laws and liaise with stakeholders.
• Conduct legal research on property matters.
• Support corporate/commercial teams on property issues.
